T finds a Tree

In New York City you don't need to go to the woods to chop down a tree for Christmas, all you need to do is go to a street corner and there are trees! I don't know how it happens, but right around Thanksgiving a whole bunch of trees magically appear throughout the city. Well here I am picking out one of those magical trees.

Tula Phishing Like her Father

This is what Tula does when she hears a tune. Her moves get slicker every time. Nuff said.

The Motherlode

I love my Big Sis' Monkey Purse and when she's not looking, I love to raid it. She is always rummaging through Mommy's purse, so I figure it's A-Okay if I play with her purse. She gets very upset when she catches me in the act, so I always try to do it on the sly. I figure a little dose of her own medicine won't hurt, especially when she has stolen gum out of all the purses in the vicinity. Even Listerine breath strips. She went running to mommy the other day after she ate 10 Listerine breath strips at once. Mommy said,"Are you okay Sass?" and she said,"MOMMY, I NEED SOME WATER!" I bet she did. Those things are strong and I've never even had one, I just smell the scent every time I chew on the case.

Mommy said she's going to Costco to buy Auntie Mish a Jumbo box of strips and gum to replace all the packs Sassy stole.

My Second Thanksgiving

I give thanks for Listerine strip packets. They are great to chew on, especially when you have big molars coming in. I didn't eat any turkey, but I wore an adorable dress from Auntie Pauline, so nobody noticed how little I ate. I give lots of thanks for everything.

Playing with Maddie

After the NYC Marathon, Big Sis REALLY wanted to go to the playground. So we ended up going to the mini playground at Uncle Stuie and Aunt Laura's place. It was fun and I had a great time playing with cousin Maddie.

Halloween Take One

Roof! Roof! We went to a Halloween party this weekend and I've been chasing my sister around all day because she is a black cat and I'm a puppy. I can't catch her, but I'm working on it.

Shots from the Barbie Camera

Here is a photograph from my Big Sis' Barbie camera. As you all know, she likes to run around the house taking 60 pix per minute. Quite a feat you may think, but not for a three year old. Most of them get deleted, but there are always a couple of gems.

Happy 1st Birthday to Me

Can you believe that I was born one year ago today? Neither can I. In this past year I have learned about eating, laughing, playing, crawling, defending myself (from my sister), crying (which I rarely do), reading, talking, and many other things. All in one year. A lot can happen in one year. Never forget that. This well-balanced Libra is off to celebrate. Cheerio.

Loving Bathtime

So you already know I love the bath, but did you know how much? Well I think this picture speaks 1000+ words.

Call Me Kitten

Fall is in the air, so I decided to wear my kitten hat that Mimi bought for me at a street fair. Mommy, Holly, Big Sis, and me had lunch at Isabella's and then we went and got cupcakes at Magnolia and ate them at Strawberry Fields and then we walked home through Central Park. Wow! What a NYC day we had. Oh yeah, we stopped by Verve and looked at purses- that was fun too. Big Sis really liked the cuffs they had and a particular yellow wallet. At Isabella's I was a street-stopper. We ate outside and everyone who passed by our table took a second look at my hat. It is pretty cute if I do say so myself.

I Love My Cheerios

That includes Cheerios that I find anywhere. I like to throw my Cheerios on the floor and then crawl around, pick them up, and eat them. Yum. Here is me in the park eating Cheerios that are spread all over the mat.

My New Gal Pals

My mommy met up with other mommys on Sunday morning for muffins and to meet my mommy's friend Colleen and her new little baby girl. Can you guess which one she is? Yep, she's the cutie in the middle. It was nice to play with other little babies without worrying about my Big Sis taking all of our toys away. Well that is what mom said.

Big Sis and Me in California

Here is me and my Big Sis in front of the Golden Gate Bridge. We went to the Children's discovery museum and it was such a beautiful day. I wasn't able to play on all the toys because I am too small and can't walk by myself, but I got to watch my Big Sis do everything. She's the best.

I Love My Uncle Steve

My Uncle Steve is really funny, especially when we play blocks together. He likes to stack them really high until they fall down and that is my favorite part. I think it is really funny when they fall and I laugh each time.

I Fear the Swing

Underneath this smile is fear. Mom put me in a swing all by myself and I started visibly shaking and then crying. After that, Mom put me on Big Sis lap and I was better and even let Mom push us for a little while, but I was still scared. I am very afraid of the swing. I am NOT a fan of the swing, unless my feet can touch the ground while I'm in it.

Action Shot

My Big Sis really likes to take lots of photos with her Barbie camera, usually really close to my face so that the flash blinds me. Well here is one that turned out okay. I made a face that Big Sis usually likes to make in pictures- I stuck my tongue out.

I Eat Cheerios!

Like 99.9% of kids in the world, I love Cheerios and I have become really good at doing my pincer motion (using the thumb and index finger to pick things up). I learned to be really quick at picking up my Cheerios because my Big Sis would eat them all if I didn't. When I first started eating them, my mom was really impressed that I ate them so fast, until she found out that my Big Sis was eating my Cheerios for me. Big Sis got a Big Time Out and doesn't eat my Cheerios anymore. Usually.

Me and Brammy Poolside

This is me and Brammy, a somewhat rare occurrence because my Big Sis is usually the one in her arms. I love this picture because it feels that it could be a scene from the 50s. I will miss this house.

Learning to Jump

This footage is a couple months old, but it's already a classic. This swing used to be my Big Sis', but now it's mine and I am learning how to use my legs. I use this same motion with my legs when I swim in the pool. I look like a little guppy kicking around in the pool.

How Sad is This?

I'm thoroughly enjoying my month in the Hamptons- that is not sad at all. What I am sad about is this poor little girl with a bizarre name. It is about a little girl in New Zealand who can't handle her name because kids tease her because she is named Talula Does the Hula. Can you believe the injustice of it all? This poor girl is already scarred for life and can't even bare to tell her friends her real name for fear they will tease her. I don't understand why she doesn't just shorten it to Talula. I think that is a very pretty name. I can't believe the judge thinks that her name is in the same league as the others on the list. Who in their right mind would name their child Fish and Chips or Sex Fruit?

Playing with Maddie

My cousin Maddie and I love to play together. She enjoys crawling and and moving around the room while I prefer sitting and watching. She has a great one-armed army crawl going on right now and boy is she fast. She's also fast at taking my toys, but I'm really good at getting them back. She likes chewing on my toes which feels kind of nice. That'll probably change when she gets teeth.

Lake Balaton

I'm sure you are all wondering where my Big Sister is, and I'll tell you. She is asleep in her stroller and I get mommy and daddy all to myself! We had a great dinner overlooking Lake Balaton in Hungary and I got to eat my favorite, Chicken Paprika and dumplings, minus the chicken and dumplings of course. I'm a saucy kind of girl.

Statue on My Head

I'm in Budapest and I have a statue on my head! Pops and I are hanging out during one of our many walks around town. I am just as much of an angel in a foreign country as I am in my own. I travel really well in a stroller and am pretty good at staying up late. It was a life changing experience and I can't wait to use my passport again.

Bathing Beauty

I love my bath time so much. I still bathe in the sink, but I will be in the big tub soon. I've been practicing sitting up and my balance is getting really good. I really like to reach for things when I am in the bath. Like the faucet and the dish soap or the coffeemaker...you get the idea. I'm really active because I know that I need lots of practice to keep up with my sister.

Tummy Time

Tummy time is the bane of my existence. I just hate it. There are so many other things I'd rather be doing. I know I look like I'm enjoying tummy time in this photo, but remember, looks can be deceiving. I think I'm going to wait awhile before I crawl.

Four Baldies

This is me and Pops and H and his dad at Big Sis' birthday party. We were playing on the swings and chewing on shovels, having a grand time when we realized why we all get along so well- we're all bald! H's 1st Birthday is in a couple of days, so we're gearing up for a baldie reunion.

Methods of Silliness

My sister is so silly and I love to watch her all the time. She is just so silly, with maybe a little nuts. I can't run around yet, but I know how to egg her on.

Rub My Tummy

I've become quite adept at sitting as you can see from this picture here. I guess you can also tell from this picture that I am just cute all around, probably one of the cutest little buddahs you have ever seen. Last week my nanny was sick, so I got to spend a lot of time with my Auntie Laura and cousin Maddie. We sure had a fun time drinking bottles (or boobs) and taking naps together. Oh, and I'm becoming really good at eating solids. I'm working on apples this week.

Eating Take Two

So I've commandeered my spoon and learned to feed myself. Big Sis is a great distraction, because every time she calls for help, mom goes running to see what kind of mess she's got herself into. Yesterday she put on one of my sweaters and couldn't get it off, kind of like a kiddie straight-jacket. Mom was cleaning a raw chicken, so she couldn't come to the rescue. Poor Sis, she sure gets herself into some interesting binds. That's good for me, because I get to fly under the radar and do whatever I want. Like feed myself. Keep up the good work Big Sis. You're doing a good job paving the way for me.

My New Diet

I am still learning how to swallow, but I don't mind the taste of the rice cereal as much as I did before. In this picture, I was actually diving for the spoon to get the cereal and mom was making me laugh a lot, so it was a fun meal. I still dig the boob the most, and the bottle is a close second.

I'm a Bunny!

It's my first Easter and I'm a bunny! Happy Easter! I'm going to find some eggs now.

This is me in the infant chair where all my friends hang out. Mom loves the smooth vibrations and sweet tones that put me to sleep.

The Maiden Voyage

This is my first time in a pool. Ever. I floated for about fifteen minutes and swam with my Big Sis. I was thrilled by the whole experience. It was so invigorating that once I was out and changed I suddenly passed out and slept for two hours.

They Keep Getting Bigger

Look at my eyes. Aren't they the biggest you've ever seen? Brown-Eyed Girl was written for eyes like these. I just wanted to show them off a little.

My Baptism

At my baptism a priest poured water into my eye and I cried, and you know if I cried it must have been uncomfortable, because I pride myself on never crying. Other than that, the priest was very gentle and made me smell good with some nice oil. He even told a couple of jokes during the ceremony which was a nice touch. I didn't understand them, but everyone else seemed to be laughing. I'm being held by one of my Godparents and the other is right next to her. My real parents are on the left, but according to the church, they aren't actually my parents, God is, and they have been given the honor of raising me.

I'm cuter than the Gerber baby

On Saturday I had rice cereal for the first time. It was kind of bland, but I ate a little bit of it so mom wouldn't feel bad. I wanted to throw her a bone because she spent the time making the stuff. More importantly, I was checking out the Gerber box and I am clearly much cuter than the Gerber baby. That in itself is more interesting than solid food any day.

Tummy Time

I am getting really good at laying on my tummy and lifting my head. I don't cry as much as I used to when mommy would put me on my stomach. Now I look around and drool a lot and sometimes I even roll over onto my back.

Bath Time

This is me all clean and sparkling after a bath in the kitchen sink. I am getting too long for the sink, but mom is still giving me baths there. It's okay I guess. I'm used to the sink and I don't cry when I get a bath. I just lean back and relax, because how great is it to have someone do everything for you?

My First Snow

Wow, I experienced snow for the first time today. It was pretty cold, especially when the wind blew it into my face. Mom took me to Central Park, where I saw my Big Sis throw snowballs and sled. Mom and I went sledding with her and it was pretty fun. Until we almost hit a fence.

What I Love

Besides sucking on mommy's boobie, there are a couple of other things I love to do. I recently found my feet and I can't get enough of them because they are so fun to fondle. I also love to play with my plastic ball, moving it from hand to hand.

Where the Wild Things Are

I went to my first museum this weekend and large bones were everywhere. There was bone after bone after bone that I became so stimulated I fell asleep.

Colleen is Due In May

Yes, I know that May is almost here and Colleen still doesn't look pregnant, but she really is. This picture is just magically deceiving. I can't wait for my new friend to arrive. And it's a girl! Girls Rule!

The Swing

So I have been making big strides in the last couple of weeks. I have been working on sitting up (yes I should be doing that at 4-5 months, but hey, I'm ahead of my game), and laughing. I really like to hang out with my big sis too. I find funny faces really funny and I laugh out loud at them. Me, mom, and Big Sis had a laugh out the other night. That's when one person starts laughing and then someone else laughs and then you just keep laughing because everyone else is. I have been sitting in my swing and I like it because I can sit up and see what's going on. Big Sis likes to push me really high in it. I don't think we've made any records yet, but we're working on it.
